Christmas greetings to you all!
This past weekend we got our first snow of the season. Beautiful snow... BIG flakes falling slowly from the white sky. What a gift it has been too. It's been a cozy weekend with lots of baking and movie watching. These are the days that create long lasting memories. I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!

Ok, that is just NOT fair...you live in CA right???? Where is my snow here in TN!?!?! We woke up to freezing rain for petes sake!
Friend, I cannot tell you how the Lord has used you this morning to speak to me....obviously from my blog I have been stressed over getting "school" in everyday that we are supposed to before break....Satan starts to grip me with fear...the what if's...what if we aren't doing enough...what if they aren't learning the right things...what if we are totally behind for the year and may never catch up?!?!
So last night as I tucked the kiddos in, we prayed and I specifically prayed that He would show me what we need to get done right now through this Season and give me peace about doing just that alone....and do you want to know what we did yesterday that gave me such a sense of accomplishment? JUST MATH! So what you wrote today was so comforting because I believe it is His way of saying, "If that's all you get to, that's good enough for me and I'll take care of the rest!"
And as far as your post about "peace"...preach on sister! I have come to realize some of the same things this year...for the first time ever actually...I lost my address book so I have decided not to do cards cause that would be a train wreck trying to find everyones....so I vowed to just send cards to our family that do NOT have a computer or a way to read our blog...which basically covers anyone over 55 in our family! :-) And no Christmas party for us as well...I wanted to but got gray hair just thinking about planning it...and cleaning my house for it!
Thanks so much for the encouragement about the weight....I know it is because of my lack of mobility....well, that and my obsession with sweets during the Holidays...ok, NOT just during the Holidays!

What?!!! Snow in CA? Here I had you pegged for a beach Christmas.. am so jealous...we have celebrated over the FLAKES we have had here that haven't amounted to much...please send some my way...and now that I know you are friends with Talysa too...you must move to TN...
